Local Beer, Wine & More At The Whet Spot

The Whet Spot is just a couple of blocks from the inn. It’s really the perfect place to whet your whistle. The owners, Tracy and her fiancee Kelly do a great job of offering locally made beer, wine, ciders and even CBD sparkling waters.

Did you know it’s legal to drink alcohol on Oregon Beaches? It’s true! Oregon has an open container law on their beaches! If you want to get a drink to go The Whet Spot is a great place to buy an artisan beer and take it to the beach!

The Whet Spot has 20 rotating taps, 3 of which are ciders and 1 is always a gluten-free beer. They also have a huge selection of bottled beers and ciders. To the left is this cool wine holder that keeps the wine extra fresh, by not allowing any oxygen into the bottle. You can imbibe in house or get your drinks to go as we’ve already stated but we didn’t mention this. They even deliver!

Now hear this: The Whet Spot will deliver beer, wine or cider to your room/cabin at the inn for a $2.00 delivery fee or for free if you place an order of over $20.00! Just give them a call!

One thing we love about The Whet Spot is that they have a great local selection. This is the standard coastal fare.

Here’s one of the hand-selected wines they have. This wine is called Hauer Of The Dauen. It’s a pinot noir. The grapes are grown on a family farm and the wine is family made in Dayton, Oregon. This wine company doesn’t use a distributer so you cannot find this wine most places, just a handful like The Whet Spot.

The Whet Spot just recently started carrying these CBD sparkling waters and they taste delish! They have no added sugar so it adds to their chill vibe. We like to have a glass of wine or two in house and get a CBD drink or two for the road.

Here’s a list of their wines, which as we’ve already stated are local and hand-selected. Check the price point, because these are really affordable wines.

More wines. The Whet Spot doesn’t serve food, but they do have some chips and nuts available for purchase. Because they don’t serve food, they have relationships with some local restaurants who will deliver food to their establishment if you wish, like the Thai food place next door, or you can order a pizza from the nearby pizza place.

Best of all The Whet Spot is only 1.5 blocks from the inn. They open at 3 pm and close at 9 pm. They are closed on Tuesdays.
